Our Favorite 14ers

ExtremeTrail Difficulty of all 14ers:
Extreme.

All of these hikes require more care in planning and execution. First of all, we always recommend starting your hike day early so that you will be off the trail by the time storms tend to come along. But for doing a 14er, you really need to heed this advice.

We recommend beginning your day by at least 7am, to give yourself several hours to climb, and several more to come back down. Of course you can begin later, and frankly we usually do, but aim early.

Also, don't plan on bringing your little children unless they are either very fit and have great endurance, or you are ready to carry them. In any case, if you have small children you better have a good childcarrier with you ... just in case! Visit our childcarrier store to find one now.

These 14ers are among the less difficult ones, and good for your first shot at a 14er. I hope you find the descriptions helpful, and your hikes will be fun!
